Despite the rising numbers of cases of COVID-19, people are discovering ways to make sure that life still goes on. Churches, schools, and many workplaces have gone digital, and apps like ZOOM, that allow for meetings with multiple people in multiple places, have gone viral.

But some people are cautiously gathering again. Weddings. Funerals. Worship services. Special ceremonies. Most people attend these events while wearing masks, and try to maintain social distancing recommendations, but it can be difficult to know how, or even if, to approach someone.

Let's pretend your favorite niece is getting married. It's at an outdoor venue, so you're not too worried about contracting anything, but you have a history of illness that makes you nervous. Having something that communicates that you do not want to be approached would help you attend the ceremony while possibly minimizing your risk.

This is how wristbands can be helpful.

Red. Green, and Yellow wristbands that read "Spread Love Not Germs"

From a distance, it is obvious which color your guest is wearing, letting you know how they wish to be approached (or not).

Using the same colors we all recognize from traffic signals, communicating your level of comfort in a social setting is easy.

RED communicates that you are not comfortable with anyone coming within the recommended 6 feet.

YELLOW communicates that others can approach with caution… no touching, but masked individuals can come within 6 feet.

GREEN means that you are open to hugs and handshakes.
